1998 Philippe Dubreuille Sitar
About this instrument
A zither in guitar format, inspired by the creations of George Harrison. This unique instrument is played like a guitar. Eleven sympathetic strings resonate, giving the instrument a distinctive sitar-like sound. Designed by French luthier Philippe Dubreuille, this completely custom instrument is a major upgrade from the Jerry Jones type electric sitars. The wood, materials and construction are all top notch.
You can hear this instrument on my guitar cover of the King’s X song “Far Far Away”.
