2001 Jet Earlwood Plus
About this instrument
I bought this guitar in 2001. It is amazingly versatile, sounds incredible and has one of the best playing necks I have ever experienced. This guitar does not photograph well. In sunlight the finish looks like bursting flames.
Built by Jeffrey Earle Terwilliger in North Carolina USA, the JET Earlwood is a guitar of incredible beauty & craftsmanship. The number of features are hard to believe when compared to virtually any other guitar. It has several features that cannot be found on any other guitar available. Not only is the guitar stereo but it can output “acoustic” sound from the acoustic transducer in the bridge in addition to the magnetic pickups. This makes it possible to sound just like an acoustic guitar as well as an electric.
This was the very first Earlwood produced with direct mounted pickups, Birdseye Maple top and Sunset Burst finish. It most likely is the lowest serial number Earlwood with the stereo piezo option & Buzz Feiten Tuning System. This guitar inspired me to seek out the best guitars in the world. It set me out on my path to collect the world’s greatest guitars and builders.
