About this instrument

This was my first guitar made by Emerald Guitars. It really opened my eyes to the wonders of using carbon fiber in instruments. The guitar is made entirely of black glossy carbon fiber. That includes the string pegs and bridge. The tuners are Gotoh tuners, and the pickup system is an LR Baggs.

This guitar sounds absolutely incredible, both acoustically and electrically. The best feature, however, is its tuning stability. 12-string guitars are renowned for constantly needing tuning. This one you could leave on a stand for a year, and when picking it up, it would be perfectly in tune. This is due to the fact that the guitar is made of carbon fiber and, unlike wood, does not shrink or expand with temperature or humidity. The guitar is also extremely light, weighing no more than 4 lbs.
