Edward Van Halen 5150 Replica

About this instrument

I had this fairly accurate replica of the 5150 guitar built for me mostly to the original specs. It is intended to look as it did in 1986. The guitar sounds great and plays well.

The bridge pickup is a DiMarzio Andy Timmons. EVH couldn’t decide between two different pickups presented to him by DiMarzio, so he let his best pal Steve Lukather choose which one. The one that wasn’t chosen became the Andy Timmons model.
